It started with a simple observation
In 2011, we were brought in to fix what everyone assumed was a technology problem. A mid-sized manufacturing company couldn't process orders fast enough, and they wanted a new software system.
After two weeks of observation, we discovered the software wasn't the issue. Orders were getting stuck because four different people needed to approve every quote, and three of them were only in the office two days a week.
We redesigned the approval workflow. Orders started flowing. Revenue jumped 23% in the next quarter without buying a single new tool.
That's when we realized process design was more valuable than any technology we could implement.
